FAQs
New or Returning, you've got questions, we've got answers!
What is a Comprehensive Exam?
A comprehensive ocular exam involves assessing your overall eye health. During the exam, our doctors determine the prescription for your glasses with a refraction, exam your eyes through a microscope, and recommend treatment for any conditions that may be discovered during your exam.
Do you take Insurance?
We currently do not accept insurance (private or public). We can provide a form that you can submit to your insurance provider along with your receipt for reimbursement. Reimbursement is subject to your insurance provider's terms of your insurance coverage, we cannot verify those terms in our office - please reach out to your insurance provider for additional information.
If I book a Contact Lens Exam, do I also get a glasses prescription?
Yes! Every comprehensive eye exam includes a refraction after which the doctor provides you with a finalized copy of your glasses and contact lens prescriptions.
What is different about a Diabetic Eye Exam?
A diabetic eye exam involves a thorough examination of the retina. The doctor will dilate your eyes and use advanced diagnostic equipment to assess if there is any blood or fluid leakage from blood vessels in the back of your eyes. Early detection of diabetic related retinopathy and macular edema is crucial in preventing damage and irreversible vision loss.
